SOCCER FOOTBALE
Trial Game on Monday
Mr. G. F. Aers, sole selector of senior teams for the Wellington Football Association, has chosen teams to play a trial match at the Porirua Hospital ground on Monday afternoon. Mr. Aers has a number of players in training for the forthcoming visit of the English amateurs. The non-inclusion of some well-known men in the trial teams is explained by the fact that they had made other arrangements for Easter Monday before the match was proposed. The teams are as follows: — A Team.- —Turkington : Salisbury. Haines; Reid, Boyes, Cocks; R. Quick, Heath, Leslie, McKenzie, Gendall. B Team.—Parton ; Miles, Haze!; Hindle, Longbottom, Hanlon; Stewart Ward, Janes, Gates, Woods. Replacements.—Nicol, Smith (Petone), T. Graham (Petone). A special bus will leave Bunnv Street at 12.30 p.m.. and the kick-off will take place at 1.30 p.m.
