To-day’s Advertisements Tenders for diverse matters are vailed by advertisement in this issue, the Railways Department inviting tenders, tor the purchase of a Ford Model "A oU cwt. truck. The vehicle may be. inspected at the Railway Stores Shipper's. Waterloo Quay. Tenders must be addressed to the Comptroller of Stores. Railway Department, Wellington, and close on Monday. February 15. The Secretary. Tenders Loaru, lublic Work.s Department, invites tenders tor alterations and additions to the Leun courthouse, tendeiM closing on Tuesday. February 16. ’renders are invited by th*’ same department for the erection of a reinforced concrete bridge about 33 mpes north of New Plymouth, over the Mum Stream, the bridge being approximately 42ft. long with a 24ft. deck. The Public Trustee invites tenders tor the purchase of a farm property of bl)0 acres L.1.P., at Rakauroa, with a carrying capacity of approximately 900 ewes, 300 dry stock and 12-5 head of cattle. Tenders: for the construction of a bridge over the Rakaiu River on the Christchurch-Timaru State highway are called by the Public Works Department. Alternative tenders are invited by the veyance of school children from Kaitara Wellington Education Board for the onto the Greytown District High School, along the following routes: (a) From Greytown via Fabian’s Road, and thence to the Knoll up Ward's Line and to Greytown via Moroa Road, (b) From Greytown to Kaitara via Fabian’s Road and then along Ward’s Line as far as Cook’s residence and back to Greytown via Moroa Road.
A further work for which the Public Works Department invites tenders is for the two-coat sealing of approximately 9J miles of highways in the Rangitikei, Wanganui, Waitotara and Pa tea counties.
