"It was great to be at the controls again and delightful over the harbour and city,” said Miss Jean Batten, today as she stepped from her Percival Gull machine at Mangere aerodrome after her first Hight since her arrival from Australia. Miss Batten is leaving by the Awatea to-morrow for Sydney, where she will
meet her mother. ■ She will return to Auckland for Christmas.
