NAVAL APPOINTMENTS
British Announcements (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, September 15. The King has appointed RearAdmiral John Cunningham to be Lord Commissioner of the Admiralty and Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff, in succession to Rear-Admiral Charles Kennedy Purvis. The Admiralty announces that RearAdmiral Charles Kennedy Purvis has been appointed to be Rear-Admiral Commanding the First Cruiser Squadron in succession to Vice-Admiral Max Horton, to date from October, 1936 He is to assume command about November 1, 1936,
