TRAVEL CLUB
Morning Reception The Palm Lounge of the Hotel St. George held its full quota of people yesterday morning, when the Wellington Travel Club gave a reception in honour of Mr. John Morgan, special representative of the “Daily Herald,” London. As is usual, the floral decorations were most artistic, rhododendrons, camellias, holly berries, stocks, narcissi and other spring flowers being cleverly arranged to give the most attractive effect possible. Rose-tinted lamp shades cast a soft glow over everything, and lent an air of added charm. Morning tea was served and songs were given by Miss Doris Black, who was accompanied by Mrs. C. Macdonald, and by Miss Florence Penney, who acted as her own accompanist. Members of the committee who acted as hostesses were: Miss Amy Kane, Mrs. James Payne, Mrs. G. G. Stewart. Mrs. Marshall Macdonald, Mrs. Vernon Sutherland, Mrs. Max Wall, Mrs. R. B. Tennent, Mrs. F. W. Ongley, Miss D. L. Tanner, Miss N. E. Donovan.
