BRIDGE PART Y
A feature of the Dutch Fair at the Town Hall yesterday was the bridge party arranged by Mrs. E. L. Niccol, as a result of which the mission funds should benefit considerably. The tea room in the hall was completely filled with players grouped at the tables, who spent a busy and enjoyable time. A break in the games was provided by a dainty afternoon tea given by the committee of St. Barnabas Babies’ Home, Khandallah. The tables wero arranged by Mrs. F. R. Marriott, Mrs. t). Lyon, Mrs. Usher, Mrs. L. Watkins, Mrs. E. D. Barber, Mrs. J. J. Esson, Miss Madison, Mrs. C. Wheeler, Mrs, J. J. Patterson. Mrs. R. Gardner, Mrs. Williamson, Mrs. Graham, Mrs. B. A. Marris, Mrs. F. Bethune, Mrs. Lawton. Mrs. Stevens. Mrs. Lonergan, Mrs. Hargreaves. Mrs. Jones, Miss Cross, Mrs. Vile, Mrs. R. Pope, Miss Collins. At the quarterly meeting of the headquarters executive of the Women’s National Reserve, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mrs. S. W. Peterson, who initiated the scheme for the “Sick Mothers Appeal” for the Residential Nursery, Owen Street, and warm appreciation was expressed of her tireless energy to make the effort a success.
