Past Season in Review An increase in membership from 40 to 54 is recorded in the annual report of the Wilford Tennis Club, which is to be presented to the annual meeting on "Wednesday week. . “Although no team emerged successful in the grade competitions, mention must be made of the junior team, which won the south section, only to lose to Taita in the final,” says the report. Four teams had been entered in the Hutt Valley subassociation’s inter-ciuo competition - junior, third, fourth and fifth grades and the executive recommends that the number of teams be reduced in the coming executive's regret at the loss of the services of the president Mr. Noble, on account of ill-health, to„ethe with wishes for his recovery, is expressed in the report. . .. The winners of the various competitions were as follows-.-Club championship: AV omen (Clelland Cup), Miss O’Neill; men, R. O. Leighton. Womens doubles handicap (Hogg Cup) : Miss L. I. Mills and Mrs. F. M. D. Flowers Men s doubles handicap: L. C. Doyle and J. D. Taplin. Combined doubles handicap (McKinnon Memorial Cup): Miss Z. 3. O’Neil and D. J. Corser. Greatest per centage of inter-club wins (Noble Cup}. AV. P. AVatkinson.
