FINAL PERFORMANCE

Rayner Girls in “Cap and Bells” The troubadour sisters, Betty and Joan Rayner, had a full and appreciative audience for their final public appearance in Wellington at the Blue Triangle Hall on Saturday night. Their performance, "Cap and Bells,” was the same as that given on their last visit to Wellington, and consisted of folk songs and tales from England, Scotland and France, and three Eastern folk tales. Three modern pieces, “The Queen’s Tact,” by Hector Bolitho, “King Charles,” by Eleanor and Her-, hert Farjeon, and “King John’s Christ-, mas,” by A. A- Milne, proved quite a? acceptable as the old folk tales and songs when treated in the original and charming manner which marks the work of the Rayner sisters. Half the proceeds of the performance were contributed to aid the Y.W.C.A. city girls’, finance effort, and they should benefit considerably. Before going to America from Auckland, the Misses Rayner will travel to New Plymouth, where they will give a performance.
