ENTERTAINMENT FOR AGED NEEDY
A. very enjoyable evening was spent at the Home for Aged Needy, Wellington South, recently, when the Haeremai Club, in connection with the Terrace Congregational Church, gave an entertainment for the old people. The Rev. H. W. Newall presided. Every item was appreciated by the audience, and community singing was especially enjoyed. Those who assisted with the programme were Misses V. and W. Fergus, Mr. Stark, Mr. W. Jenkinson, Miss D. Laukshear and Mr. A. Will. Supper was brought by the visitors, who helped the staff to serve the old people. The matron, Miss L. B. Greig, thanked the visitors on behalf of the residents.
