Old Age Pensions
Sir,—l was bitterly disappointed on opening the morning’s “Dominion” to find that no mention was made of the oldage pensions when the House resumed yesterday. Surely something will be done before the winter is quite over to give these deserving old people some degree of comfort by increasing their allowance? This seems to be the last thing to be thought worth while! Where is our very sympathetic Government?-! am, etc., SYMPATHY. Wellington, July 23.
