Sir, —The front of the C.P.O. is a pitiable sight, and it is really depressing that such mistakes should be made in a city that wishes to raise Its standard of culture. ' ‘ , Mr. Drury’s sculptural group, although no longer taking position in the first rank of British art, is of its kind excellent; it is dignified and is well fitted to its architectural position. To have defaced and partly covered it with electric signwriting is lamentable.-! am, etc.,
