ENGAGEMENT PARTY
To celebrate her engagement to Lieutenant A. 8. Storey, R.A.N., Miss Allson Addison entertained a number of her friends at a cheery “5-10-7” sherry party yesterday. The guests, who gathered in the drawing-room, with its beautiful view of the harbour, were received by Miss Addison, on whom many congratulations were showered. Before the guests left, the health of Miss Addison and that of her fiance (who is at present in England) was drunk. Those present were: Mrs. J. S. Head, Mr. and Mrs. John Macdonald, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kirkcaldie, Misses Jessie Elliott, Georgette Handyside, Joan and Jean Fennick, Nancy Hunt, Betty Ellis, Patricia Marshall, Pat and Peg Ikin,. Janet Miles, Frances Parker, Margaret Gibbs, Rosalind Scott, Moya Hempton, Moira Dlgges-Smith, Eileen McCarthy, Shirley Hopkins, Dr. Kennedy Elliott, Dr. John Willis, Messrs. John Roberts. . Bruco Lockhart. Duff Daysh. Bryan Vickerman. Geoff Longuet, Trevor Lane, Stan Wheeler, Eric Dawson, Ted Gibbs. Roderick Fell. Joe Gillon, Dick Morpeth, Stavely Ellis, Roger Marshall, Brian Mac Ewen, Bob Carney.
