LONDON DEBUTANTES
Debutantes will after all wear trains, feathers and flowers when they curtsey to the King this year. Secrets of the new modes specially created for the afternoon parties on the lawns of Buckingham Piilace were revealed In a Mayfair salon recently. Debutantes’ heads will be crowned with feathers, but these will be draped over shoulderwidth hats made in some eases of leaves of chiffon. Brims may be composed of eight or nine leaves. Coatees of taffeta, net and lace, and others of patterned cii'c resembling chintz, will appear on the Palace lawns. Trains arc a feature of many gowns worn with them. These gowns can be worn for Ascot and later in the day for evening functions.
