As a result of interference from the weather, it was impossible to reach a clefinit*e conclusion in most of the county cricket championship matches which were completed to-day. Derbyshire and Sussex scored the only outright wins in championship games, though Essex gained a similar result against Cambridge University. Several bowlers did well, particularly Cornford (Sussex) and Mitchell (Derbyshire). Glamorgan ran up a big score at the Oval, Duckfield contributing 280 not out Others who scored centuries were Sandham (Surrey), Boyes (Hampshire), Watson (Lancashire), Wyatt (Warwickshire) and Pearce (Essex). The results were: — Middlesex v. Yorkshire, at Lord’s.— Yorkshire 242 (Sims six for 98) and 105 (Allen four for 46). Middlesex IG2 and 77 for six wickets. Yorkshire won on the first innings. Glamorgan v. Surrey, at the Oval.— Glamorgan 550 for six wickets, declared (Duckfield 280 not out, Brierley 94), and 160 for four. S.urrey 402 (Squires 71, Fishlock 81, Sandham 104). Glamorgan won on the first innings. Gloucestershire v. Derbyshire, at. Derby.—Gloucestershire 95 (Mitchell seven for 26) and 104 (A. Pope foui' for 29). Derbyshire 200 (Worthington 90) and 91 for none. Derby won by ten wickets.

Hampshire v. Lancashire.—Hampshire 293 (Boyes 101 not out) and 200. Lancashire 262 (Watson 115: Herman seven for 71) and 60 for two. Hampshire won on the first, innings Worcestershire v. Leicestershire, at Leicester. —Worcestershire 101 (11. Smibh five for 36) and 265 for eight (Warne 78). Leicestershire 153 (Perks five for 64). Leicestershire won on the first innings. Sussex v. Somerset, at Hove. —Sussex 166 (Wellard six for 64) and 292 for nine, declared (James Langridge 82 not out). Somerset 125 (J. Cornford six for 42) and 76 (J. Cornford five for 38). Sussex won by 258 rune Warwickshire v. Northamptonshire, at. Peterborough.—Warwickshire 228 (Wyatt 107) and 179 for six, declared. Northamptonshire 179 (Hollies six for 65 and 159 for seven. Warwickshire won on the first innings.

Minor Counties v. Oxford University, at Oxford. —Minor Counties 251 and 291. Oxford 288 and 23 for none. The match was drawn.

Cambridge University v. Essex, at Cambridge.—Cambridge 207 and 220. Essex 175 and 265 for five (Pearce 110 not out). Essex won by five wickets. There was no play in the Test trial, North v.
