SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
As a result of its appeal for funds to enable it to carry on its work in the cause of music, the Wellington Symphony Orchestra has obtained £5l/8/- to date. Contributions additional to those already published are as follow: —Barry and Sargent, £2/2/-; F. M. Hobbs, £l/1/-; Dr. Mercer, £l/1/-; Miss Brown, £l/1/-; Mrs. E. Kidson, £l/1/-: Mr. W. Bailey, £l/1/-; Mrs. Pacey, £l/1/-: Mr. R. S. Maunder, £l/1/-; Mr. W. G. Young. £l/1/-; Mr. T. N. Coleridge, £l/1/-; G. W. Swan, £1 1/-; B. Van Stavereu. £l/1/-; S. IV. Petersen, £l/1/-; E. P. Hay, £l/1/-: H.S.G., 10/-; Rev. J, 11. Blanchard, £1 1/-; W.E.L., 10/6. Donations may be mailed to the bon. treasurer, Dr. A. F. Hickey, P.O. Box 1182, Wellington, or may be paid at the office of Charles Begg and Co., Ltd., Manners Street. Subscriber., of one guinea, or more will receive two tickets for each of the concerts to be given by the orchestra this season, including the special concert on August 11. when Dr. Malcolm Sargent, the famous English conductor, will conduct the orchestra.
