Miss Nita Rosslyn. known as the “Girl in Red,” arrived at the Bluff from Invercargill on Tuesday afternoon last. Ten minutes after her arrival a gale sprang up which promised a stormy passage to Stewart Island. She was received at the municipal offices by the Deputy Mayor, Mr. J. H. Doyle, and Mr. 11. A. Ferguson, the town clerk. She made an exhibition of most interesting documents in the council offices, and was presented with a civic document of welcome bearing the town’s seal. Her arrival created considerable interest among the townsfolk, who gave her a very hearty welcome.
