CATHOLIC SEAMEN’S INSTITUTE
Taking advantage of tbe large number of ships in port, the executive of the A.M.I.C. held a very successful evening to entertain the men. Everybody enjoyed the splendid programme of music and dancingr, those assisting being Miss Judy Cooper, Mr. Tarrant, Miss Betty Paynter, Miss V. Ashenden, Mrs. Treacy, Miss Meade, and Miss Peters.
The band from the Tamaroa played the latest dance music, and Misses Delaney, Martin, and Meade were accompanists. An Innovation was made in giving the parents of those who assist at the entertainments at the rooms an invitation to join iu welcoming and becoming acquainted with the men, and this was such a success that parents’ days will be held from time to time in the future.
