ESPERANTO CLUB
This week’s meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held in the hall of the Tararua Tramping Club, Mr. Vernon J. Leek, D.8.E.A., presiding over a large attendance. Correspondence was received from Esperanto clubs and individual Esperantists in England. Scotland. France. Germany, Switzerland. Greece. Poland. Rumania, Norway, Finland. U.S.A, and Canada. Mr. Edgar Hornblow, a member of tbe club en route to deliver a series of lecture,- in Esperanto in 22 European countries, wrote from 'labiti stating tint, he and the two other Esperantist members <>f ihe partv had met the Esperanto delegate stationed in Tahiti and had been shown the sights of Papeete and neighbourhood during the few hours at their disposal. He conveyed greetings to the members After enrolment of new members three beginners’ classes wore formed, after which an entertaining programme was given. Mr L. D Smith gave a talk in "he internal mnal language outlining the recent progress made by Esperanto in tee!inie:ii spheres, and M sses Ngatre Prentice and Williams recited.
