MAINTENANCE CLAIM
Liability Denied A claim for £2OB maintenance under an alleged agreement was brought b,y (Jltoline Valerie Hole against Charles Whitworth Hole in :ae Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday afternoon before Mr. Justice Blair. Plaintiff, who was divorced from her busband in May, 1034. on the ground uf mutual separation, claimed that £2 a week was owing to her for two years from March 7, 1931. , , , The defence contended that there bad been no agreement to pay maintenance at the rate of £5 a week as alleged by plaintiff, and that if there bad been, it had been abrogated, in the first place by the divorce, and secondly by a court order made for £3 a week. ■Mr. W. E. Leicester appeared for plaintiff, and the Hon. W. Perry for defendant. The hearing will be resumed this afternoon.
