Formation of New Unions
Sir, — in your issue of, to-day it was stated: “Wellington secretaries have also had a meeting to consider whether they will form a separate union. I trust, sir, you will grant me space io state that the qualified secretaries in Wellington have not held any meeting to consider such a question. Although there has been held a private and very confidential meeting of members of the recently formed New Zealand Institute of Secretaries, which was addressed by two prominent Labour unionists, this meeting could not be construed as one representative of the qualified secretaries of Wellington, the majority of whom are by examination members of old eetablishe 1 aud leading professional bodies of secremtnm Wellington, May 16.
