Weinstein, president of the New Zealand Aero Club, at yesterday’s meeting, when the reports of tlie trophy competitions wore being considered. •‘About six or nine months ago Squadron Leader Stedman decided he had a likely pupil and he kept him up to concert pitch. He was justified by the result. It reflects great credit on the instruction of Squadron Leader Stedman and also on the pilot, Mr. K. Smillie.”
