SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

Dominion’s Co-operation With Australia By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received March 19, 11 p.m.) Canberra, March 19. Arrangements have been made for the co-operation of Australia and New Zealand in scientific research, the Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, announced to-day. He claimed that this would eliminate overlapping and mark an important step forward in linking up research on an Empire basis. Mr. Lyons said that the Commonwealth would attach an officer in New Zealand for dairy research, while the New Zealand Government would arrange for scientific workers to come to Australia for investigation into mastitis, sterility in sheep, food preservation and transport problems.
