Vice-Regal. His Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral, Lord Galway, will leave Wellington for New Plymouth to-day, accompanied by Sir Standish O’Grady Roche, A.D.C. To-morrow afternoon his Excellency will open the New Plymouth air port. On Sunday afternoon he will visit the New Plymouth Hospital, and will also present colours to the 11th Taranaki Regiment. His Excellency will attend St. Mary’s. Anglican Church. * MINISTERIAL. The Hon F. Jones, Postmaster-Gen-eral and Minister of Defence, will leave Wellington to-day for New Plymouth, where he will attend the North Island Air Pageant to-morrow. The Minister expects to return on Monday. Sir George Elliot arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Auckland. The Hon. Sir Francis Frazer, deputy-chairman of the Executive Commission of Agriculture, is visiting Auckland. Archbishop O’Shea, Metropolitan of New Zealand, left Wellington for the north last night. Dr. A. C. McKillop, Christchurch, accompanied by Mrs. McKillop, left Wellington for the south last night. Mr. Malcolm Cameron, of the Hastings staff of tile Public Trust Office, has been transferred to Christchurch. Mr. M. 11. Wynyard, a member of the Main Highways Board, left Wellington last night for Auckland. Mr. 11. G. Livingstone, a member of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board, a.-rived at Wellington from Christchurch yesterday. Mr. W. Burton, general manager of the Fuller-Hayward Theatre Corporation, left Wellington last night for the south. Mr. C. M. Turrell, general manager of the New Zealand Shipping Company, Lid., was a passenger for the south last night from Wellington. Mr. R. 11. Niinnio, general manager of H. Nimtno and Son, Ltd., will leave Wellington to-day on a tour of the North Island by car. Mr. Nimmo intends to be away about a fortnight.

Mr. Will Appleton has been appointed chairman of the Wellington City Adjustment Commission for the purposes of tiie Mortgagors and Tenants Relief Act. 1933. during the temporary absence from New Zealand of Mr. C. D. Morpeth.

Dr. R. Asmis, Consul-General for Germany in Australia and New Zealand, who arrived at Wellington by the Rangitata from England last Saturday, left last night for Sydney via Auckland, accompanied by his wife and their two children.
