Silver Ring and Chile Scratched By TclegrapD—Press Association. Palmerston North, March 19. As most of the horses engaged at the Manawatu meeting to-morrow bad the benefit of racing at Trentham, serious tasks were not allotted many at Awapuni this morning. War Lap did three furlongs in 40 2-a. Round Score shaded Waitohu over a mile in 1.50. Spiral went over a round at an easy pace, speeding up to cover the last three furlongs in 40. Severe and Alloa ran six furlongs in .1.21, the former doing the better. Custos did three furlongs easily. Lntail and Greek Shepherd covered five furlongs in 1.0 4-5. Martial Lady ran half a mile in 54. Bodyline went three furlongs in 38 3-5. Battle Pomp accompanied Taillight over seven furlongs in 1.42. On. the plough Gold Cure took 1.18 1-5 for six furlongs. Tiger Bill required 1.21 for a similar task. Vonia Park did tile best gallop of the morning in covering three furlongs in 38. Scratchings are Silver Ring and Chile for all engagements.
