INK STAINS ON FURNITURE
To remove ink stains from a desk or wooden furniture, add six drops of nitre to a teaspoonful of water, and apply it to the stain with a feather. If the wood Is polished, rub with sweet oil immediately after. If the stain does not quite disappear, give another application.
