OLYMPIC HARRIERS
Election of Officers The annual meeting of the Olympic Harrier Club was- held recently, the president, Mr. J. R. Persten, being iu the chair. Moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, which showed that steady progress had been made during the past season, the president mentioned that the new season marked the twentyfirst year of the club’s existence, and he appealed to members to make the season an outstanding one for the club in every way. It was unanimously decided that Mr. Perston be elected a life member. The following officers were elected for the 1935 season: President, Mr. J. R. Perston; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. W. Phipson, L. Lovell, F. Hodson, F. E. Duggan, L. Bond, J. Eggers, A. Barn, C. R. Lovatt, T. Croebie, H. McCormick, H. Glover, F. H. Jansen, G. Attley, A. Morrison, B. R. Lankshear, R. F. Osborne, J. C. Bell, A. Porter, H. Sunderland, K. Beaglehole, N. Craig, F. Sanders'; secretary, Mr. D. N. Spencer; treasurer Mr. C. Campbell (re-elected); club captain, R. Garnham (re-elected); de-puty-captain, W. Watt; harrier sub-com-mittee delegates, Messrs. L. Bond and L. Meyers; delegate to Wellington centre, Mr. L. A. Bond; handicapper, Mr. C. Campbell; general committee, Messrs. J. L. Scatchard. J. Lang, R. Lister, J. Blanehfield and A. N. McNaught; starter, Mr. A. Barn; judges, Messrs. 11. Sunderland, 0. W. Phipson, and T. Crosbie; timekeepers, Messrs. E. A. Shaw, H. McCormick and J. Eggers; auditor, Mr. H. Griffiths; publicity officers, Messrs. MeNaught and Watt.
