WELLINGTON FIRE POLICE
Larger Membership in View Fire police calls numbered 145 during the year, states the annual report of the Wellington Volunteer Fire Police. During the year 122 malicious false alarms were recorded, and members are asked to assist the brigade by being on the alert to detect tills class of call. The report states that there was one resignation during the year, and two new members were sworn in. The membership stands at 25, and consideration will have to be given to the question of increasing the membership, especially in the business area of the city. The attendance at the monthly meetings of the corps was well maintained. Throughout the year a series of instructions was given by a member of the brigade, and these instructions enabled the members to become conversant with the appliances on the new fire engines.
