Eketahuna Prices Eketahuna, February 14. There was a considerable improvement in the demand for sheep nt the weekly Eketahuna sale to-day. She New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., offered a medium entry of sheep to a good attendance of buyers, making a clearance at the following range of prices:—Sheen: Woolly ewe lambs, 16/7 to 11/3; woolly wether lambs, 15/6. 13/1 to 7/5; f.in. ewes, 15/- to 15/10; 1shear Romney rams, Signs, to 4gns. Sheep Easier at Levin

Levin, February, 13. At the sale held by Abraham and Williams, Ltd., yesterday, "there .were average yardings in both quality and strength, although results proved -’somewhat . disappointing.,There was an' easing tendency in the sheep section as regards ewes, while pigs showed a "similar inclination to lower prices. Cattle brought prices on a par witli late rates. The various results of the sale were as follow:— Pigs: Weanei-s, 4/6 to 8/6; porkers, 21/to 32/-; baconers, £2/7/- to £2/11/-. Sheep: Aged ewes, 9/7 to 10/6; store lambs, 10/- to 11/6; fat ewes, 14/9 to 16/3; fat lambs, 18/- to 20/6; fat wethers, 23/- to 23/9; rams, 10/- to 12/6; Southdown do., ligns. to 2gns.; Romney do., lfgns. to 3gns. Cattle: Vealers, 10/to 15/-; store cows, 11/6 to 16/-; bulls, 7/6 to 20/-; fat cows, £2 to £2/7/6.

At the Taihape sale the N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Company, Ltd., offered 4250 sheep, 20 cattle, and 30 pigs. Half the yarding comprised breeding ewes and the balance lambs. The .majority of the ewes were secured by Waikato buyers. Competition on good ewes was keen, but inferior lines were not in demand. Lambs sold freely at late rates. Martinborough Sale Dominion Special Service. Masterton, February 14. Ewes, which formed the bulk of the yarding at Martinborough sale yesterday, were keenly sought after. Several pens of lambs met a good market," selling at very satisfactory rates.
