MAORI CHARGED
Palmerston North, February 14. Appearing on remand in the Magistrate’s Court this morning before Messrs. J. T. Bosworth and W. L. Blae'a, justices of the peace, Heninra (Sam) Hotereni, labourer, aged 41, was charged with committing rape, and was committed for trial. The evidence disclosed that accused had impersonated the husband of a Maori woman at the Motuiti pa near Foxton.
