Senior Ranking Games Results ot senior ranking matches played by the Hutt Valley Lawn Tennis Sub-Association are as follow:— L. Evans beat G. Martin, 4-6, 6-1,-6-2; N Edwards beat J. Charters, 6-5, 6-3; G. Arms lost to I. Willis, 6-3, 6-4; L. Evans beat E. Thompson, 5-6, 6-3, 7-5; D. Livingstone beat A. Clark. 6-5, 6-5. The senior ranking list is:— Women: 1 Miss D. Nicholls, 2 Miss V. Burns. 3 Miss I. Shiel, 4 Mrs. J. King, 5 Miss ,T. Burns. 6 Miss J. Douthett, 7 Miss W. Doran, 8 Miss P. Clark. Men: 1 N. Edwards. 2 D. Livingstone, 3 A. Clark, 4 J. Charters, 5 L. Evans, 6 E. Thompson, 7 G. Martin, 8 I. Willis. Members of the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society stood in. silence last evening as a mark of respect to the late Mr. M. E. Denniston, whose death occurred recently. The president, Mr. D. S. Patrick, said that so far as Lower Hutt was concerned Mr. Denniston was a very fine citizen, who joined in everything that was for the benefit of the borough. A vote of condolence to the family and relatives was passed.
