GUIDE FOR AUTHORS
This year the well-known “Australian and New Zealand Writers’ and Artists’ Year Book” has been renamed “The Australian Authors’ and Artists’ Handbook.” It has been enlarged and a number of interesting and useful index features have been added; at the same time it is to be noted that, as the changed title implies, the handbook is now limited to Australia and does not include a review of the New Zealand market for writers, artists and photographers. This is a pity, for the handbook, to the New Zealand reader, .is. robbed of some of its former value; however, in at least partial compensation the Australian market has been explored and classified probably more thoroughly than ever before. No aspiring author, Journalist, photographer, artist, playwright, or composer who seeks an Australian market for his wares should be without the handbook. “The Australian Authors’ and Artists’ Handbook,” edited by W. E. Fitz Henry. Gordon and Gotch Ltd., Sydney.
