MINISTER’S NEW ROLE
Acts as Ambulance Officer By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, February 2. The role of ambulance officer was played by the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. C. E. Macmillan, when he assisted to carry a farmer who had broken a leg three-quarters of a mile near Raglan yesterday afternoon. The Minister was returning to Mr. T. Parker’s car after visiting Bryant House when he heard cries, and found Mr. B. H. Pegler, a farmer, of Karioj, lying in a paddock helpless, having been thrown from a horse some time previously'. The Minister and his party carried the man to a neighbouring farmhouse, and after receiving medical attention Mr. Pegler was admitted to hospital at Hamilton.
