Canterbury Meeting By Telegraph—Press/Association. Christchurch, February 2. Under excellent weather and track conditions, the Canterbury amateur athletic championships were cotnnieticed at Lancaster Park this afternoon. "S Five open championships were decided, and the heats of others run off. G. H. Watson won the three miles in 15.0 3-5. brilliantly outclassing the rest of tlie field. The results were:— Discus: F. French. 1: J. Thompson, 2;,N. L. Uniacke, 3. Distance, 123 ft. Bin. Three miles: Watson, 1; H. Savage, 2; T. Bartlett, 3. Time, 15.0 3-5. Long jump: L. E. Smith. 1 : G. B. Hathorne. 2; J. F. Bamford, 3. Distance, 21ft. Half-mile walk: F. W. Dukes, 1; J. G. Ward, 2; L. Brown. 3. Time, 3.27. Hammer throw: D. G. Simpson, 1; D. Akins, 2; N. McPhail, 3. Distance, 100 ft. lin.
