MONOWAI DANCE

The band was set aft, with loudspeakers to take the music all over the ship, and there was also a gramophone to take an occasional turn. The two comfortable lounges, the music-room, and smoking-room, were all gay witn Chinese lanterns, coloured lights, and flowers, and the ship’s funnels and the bridge were bright with flood-lightri Father Neptune played an important part in the entertainment of the visitors, distributing favours from his sea chest to all comers.
