SHOOTING EVENTS

Union Shields Competition

The annual competition for the Junior and Senior Union Shields between teams of eight men from rifle .clubs in the AVe lington district will take *P lac ±, Trentbam range to-morrow. The com petition consists of two optional and seven shots at 300. 000 and 600 yards. The Karori and Old Navals Clubs are the present holders of the Senior and Junior Shields respectively. _ In the event of suitable weather con ditions a very keen match should result. Teams to represent the various clubs will be selected from the following :—
