FREE KINDERGARTEN
Christmas Party Gaiety Last evening the Wellington South Free Kindergarten held its annual Christmas party in St. Thomas’s schoolroom. Newtown. The hall was decorated with lanterns, gailycoloured streamers and bowls of lovely flowers. Miss Holland, acting principal, welcomed the parents and friends to the party. A pleasing feature in connection with the kindergarten is the wonderful interest and practical assistance yj'hich is always so readily given by the Mothers’ Club and local committee. After the children had sung their Christmas sting and played their kindergarten games, came die tree, finely laden with presents. Although there was’a gift for every child, the youngsters had made gifts for their parents which gave genuine enjoyment to young and old alike.
The guestg were, received by Miss Ramsey, director of the kindergarten. Miss Burton, assistant director, and the students. ■ Among those present were: Mrs. G. P. H. Davidson. Mrs. Dowsett, Miss Paterson. Miss England. Miss von Dadelszen, Miss Broadhurst. Mrs. Millar, Mrs. Seed. Miss Seed, Miss G. Zander. Miss Cooper, Miss A. Newton. Miss *Preshaw.
