Novel Knitting Needles

Knitting needles with the points lit by a tiny electric battery have appearpeared in London. They enable the knitting-fiend to work in the dark and are sold for use in cinemas. Berets in brown or black calfskin are being shown. Blue velvet, blue satin or blue chiffon is the vogue for bridesmaids’ dresses. Three big society weddings have set this fashion.

Toeless dancing sandals in green velvet with silver straps and heels are being worm Gloves and cravats to match in furtli cloth patterned like leopard skin arc worn with a tight-fitting costume. Masks for hanging on the wall instead of pictures have attracted some attention. They may be portrait masks of a friend or fantastic affairs with exotic colouring and elaborate headdresses. A low-powered electric bulb should be put behind them so that the face glows and the eyes shine.
