MORNING TEA
Mrs. P. B. Cooke Entertains
At the Art Gallery, Whitmore Street, yesterday morning, Mrs. P. B. Cooke entertained a large number of friends at tea in the interesting and unusual surroundings of the New Zealand Academy’s exhibition of pictures, which was opened by the Governor-General last week. The light was particularly good, and the opportunity of hearing the paintings discussed among well-known connoisseurs was as much an occasion for enjoyment as the sight, under such pleasant conditions, of the pictures, themselves.
