THE PIONEER CLUB
Music Circle Evening
A large number of members attended the monthly meeting of the Pioneer Club Music Circle held recently, for which a very interesting programme had been arranged by Mrs. A. Ginn. The club-room was attractively decorated with bowls of spring flowers. The following was the pro-gramme:-—Songs: “Little Brown Bird” (Reigo), “Lady Bird” (Schumann), “Cuckoo” (Shaw), Mrs. P. J. Townley. Songs: “The Trout,” “The Raven,” “The Secret” (Schubert). Mr. Harding. Pianoforte solos: “Water Wagtail” (Scott), “Butterflies” (Coleridge Taylor), Miss L. Voudersloot. Songs: “The Dove” (L. Ronald), “The Wren” (Bisbop), "Cloths of Heaven” (Dunhill), Mrs. E. F. Hollands. ’Cello solos: “Apres un Revo” (Faure), "Guitarre” (Moszkowski), “Orientate” (Cui), Miss Orrni Reid. Songs, “The Woman and tlie Horse” (Mallinson), “Song of India” (Rimsky Korsakov), “Mamselle Marie” (Gulan), Mrs. A Ginn. Violin solos, “Romance” (Wienawski), “The Swan” (San Saens), “Gavotte” (Gossee), Miss Ruth Reid. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. Ginn and Miss Gray. Miss Ella Fair proposed a very hearty vote of thanks to Miss Ginn and to those who assisted her, and this was carried with acclamation. Supper concluded a very pleasant evening. Among those present were Miss A. Kane, Mrs. Bethune, Mrs. McKay, Mrs. W. J. Ross, Mrs. A. S. Mitchell, Miss Gatward, Mrs. and Miss Haines, Miss Lyall Bennett. Miss Evans, Miss Shaw, Mrs. Hay McKenzie, Mrs. and Miss Cummings, Mrs. I. Levy. Miss M. Isaacs, Miss R. Harvey, Mrs. Hunt, Miss Eva Crump, Miss Jessie Forsyth, Mrs. Gillman.
