HOME OF COMPASSION

Mr. Wood, president of the orchestra, introduced'Mr. Little, president of the Wellington Commercial Travellers’ Association, who in a happy little speech said how proud the association was of the excellent work being done by the orchestra, under the baton of Mr. J. F. Woodward, and of the pleasure they were giving to the patients at the different institutions round Wellington. An apology was received from Mrs. Amy Woodward, who was unable to be present on account of the illness of her daughter Joyce. At the end of the programme a hearty vote of thanks and appreciation was passed on behalf of both patients and visitors.
