APOLLO' SINGERS

First Concert of Season The enthusiasm displayed by the large audience in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Saturday night, when the Wellington Apollo Singers, under the capable and experienced baton of Mr. H. Temple White, gave their first concert of the season, must have left the singers in no doubt as to the appreciation their delightful numbers aroused. Much interest was added to the programme by the inclusion of several items by twelve boys, members of the Wellington Choir, and Mr. Ernest Jenner, the brilliant pianist, was welcomed, as always, with prolonged applause. The stage was decorated with large bowls of hydangeas and native shrubs, given and arranged by Mr. and Mrs. R. It. Orr.
