WEDDING

Barker—Mumford The wedding was celebrated at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Wanganui, recently of Mavis, only daughter of the late Mr. A. H. Mumford and Mrs. Mumford, of St. Hill Street. Wanganui, to Bruce, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Barker, of Palmerston North. The bride was gowned in ivory satin, smartly cut on long lines and forming a small circular train. Beautiful Venetian lace composed the bodice and long, close-fitting sleeves, the latter finishiug in effective points over the wrist. Her tulle veil was arranged to fit closely to the. head, and fell in graceful folds enveloping and extending beyond the train. She carried a sheaf of white cactus dahlias and asparagus fern.

The bridesmaids were Miss Marion Brock (chief) and Miss A. Gleeson. The best, man was Mr. Douglas Barker, of Wellington, and the groomsman Mr. L. Mumford.
