PLANE FORCED DOWN

Dr. Begg’s Experience TOUR ON LEGION BUSINESS By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, April 13. Dr. R. Campbell Begg, organiser of the New Zealand Legion, was stranded at Christchurch to-day owing to inability to reach Blenheim by air. He left Ashburton this morning in a Puss Moth machine piloted by Captain White, but when over Amberley a strong nor’wester forced the machine down nearly, to the ground in an air current. It was thought better to return to Christchurch as it was impossible to make headway. The Blenheim meeting has been abandoned.
