TREASURE HUNT
Search for Buried Gold There will be pirates and buccaneers at Eastbourne during the Easter Fair. Wonderful adventures await you. A cruise on the pirate’s ship. And the beauty of it all is that a holiday at Eastbourne costs so little in comparison with a holiday further afield. A few shillings a day brings the joy of living to the youngsters and invigorating strength to the city dwellers. A search for pirate's gold! Let the pirate ship steer you to the wharf at Eastbourne and cast you up high and dry in the Kingdom of Make-Believe, where you will be greeted by hoards of revellers in fancy costumes —carefree subjects who are bent on quests of romance and adventure.
But not only may you find the gold of romance and adventure. You may —and there is not. a single reason why it should not be YOU —find the pirates’ gold which has been buried. Where it is no one at present knows, but on Easter Moniiday au organised search will be made. A frayed and tattered sketch plan has been unearthed showing where the treasure was originally located years ago on the sea front of the Eastern Harbour district. No doubt many will start right away to search for the treasure, but the key to the hidden hiding place cannot be divulged until Easter Saturday. Compared with all the colourful, exciting attractions which will be found at Eastbourne during the Easter Fair this hunt for pirates’ treasure is hut a minor event, yet in itself it is a thrilling adventure for both young and old alike. So varied is the entertainment which has been planned that it is difficult to confine my pen-to one subject. Such exciting prospects await not only the residents of the East Harbour, but every visitor as well.
