INDIAN LOANS
Big Conversion Scheme Calcutta, Jan. 24. The Government has decided to launch a big conversion scheme involving three loans, the aggregate amount of which is fifty crores of rupees. This decision was taken after the success of the 4 per cent. 1943 bonds issue, which was over-subscribed yesterday ninety minutes after the list opened. A crore of rupees is 10 million, equal to about. £750,000.
