Meeting at Manakau
The Mauakau Women’s Institute held its monthly meeting last Thursday. Mrs. L. Atkins presided. Fifty members were present. The hostesses were: Mesdames Guerin, Swainson, Wiley, J. Staples, Willis, Misses Smith, Swainson. and Evans. . ,
The business was chiefly organising the flower'show tor next month.
The demonstrations were very interesting. They were by Mrs. Miles on decorating vases; Mrs. Atkins on Victorian posies, and Mrs. Bevan, senior, on making wreaths. The beautiful wreath made during the demonstration were later placed on the Soldiers’ Memorial.
