ASHTRAYS THAT DISAPPEAR.
Publicans aud many hotel proprietors in Birmingham are becoming really annoyed, They are fighting a losing battle against their dwindling stocks 1 of ashtrays. “The ashtrays with little, or no advertising matter on them go first,” one hotel manager said lately. “The thieves, to'call them by their proper name, show great discrimination, and the ebonite and polished metal trays soon vanish in my hotel.”
