E. D. Andrews at Masterton DAVIS CUP PLAYER IN FORM Dominion Special Service. Masterton, Dec. 14. Tennis of class was witnessed in Masterton this afternoon, when E. D. Andrews, tbe New Zealand Davis Cup player, was matched with N. R. C. Wilson, Wellington, I- Seay, Christchurch, and Lowry, Hawke’s Bay, in exhibition games. The matches were played before a large gallery on the Mastertou Tennis Club’s courts. Andrews was matched against Wilson in the singles, and defeated him 6—2, 4—6, 6—l. It was a hard-driving match, in which Andrews revealed perfect forehand and backhand strokes, and a nice control of the ball. The second set of this match provided some of the prettiest tennis of the afternoon. Seay defeated Lowry 6—3, 6 —4. ' In tbe doubles, Andrews and Lowry were partnered against Wilson and Seay. Seay carried off tbe honours in this match, his ground shots being hard and accurate and bis overhead work brilliant. His partner, Wilson, was well below his usual form in the first set, but he improved, and in the last set earned applause witn ms smasning shots. Andrews and Lowry took the first set 6—4. The second set went to Wilson and Seay 6—3. In the third set Andrews and Lowry were leading 5—2, but their opponents won five games in a line, winning tbe match 4—6, 6—3,
