Annual Charity Competitions

On Saturday afternoon tbe annual C-bristmas charity competitions were tired by the members of the Hutt Valley Gun Club, and charity will benefit to tbe extent qf £6/5/- as the result. Although! the wind was so boisterous at times that it threw competitors completely off their balance, the matches were all interesting, and in all four tired ties bad to be shot off before, the winners could be declared. Tbe principal event, tbe president’s match, lor trophies donated by Dr. and Mrs. G. JJ. V. Anson, was won by F. E. J hornton after a keen shoot off with J. Mmcban and T. Skipage. The results are as follows, handicaps in yards from the trap being in parentheses :—
