Raid on Stokes Valley '.'HIEVES REMOVE A BED Articles of every description of a total value of about £lOO were stolen from four week-end cottages at Stokes Valley during last week, and the owners received a rude shock on visiting their premises over the week-end. They found that in each instance the rooms had been practically. stripped. One of the heaviest losers was Mr. J. Combe. He discovered on Saturday that nearly the whole of the furniture from his cottage had been removed by the thieves. Carpets, mirrors, cutlery, crockery, silverware, ornaments, bed linen and valuables had all been taken. A bed was removed from.
